Information We Collect
Bailey House may collect both Usage Data and Personally Identifiable Information via this site. Usage Data is information that describes the habits and other behavioral traits of the users of the site as a group but does not indicate the identity of a particular user. Bailey House tracks the number of users accessing the site via a counter that monitors the IP addresses of our visitors. Bailey House does not retain Usage Data and uses it only to track the number of unique visitors to our site.
Bailey House does not want to collect Personal Information from minors (children under 13 years of age, or any other age defined under applicable law). If we become aware that a minor is attempting to or has submitted Personal Information via this Site, we will notify the user that we may not accept his or her Personal Information. We will then delete any such Personal Information from our records.
Personally Identifiable Information
This refers to information you voluntarily provide to us via the site that tells us specifically who you are, such as your name, e-mail address, or other contact information. In addition, if you choose to make a donation to Bailey House, whether by telephone, postal mail, or this web site, we will collect certain required financial information from you. Online donations are processed by a third party service provider and you should read the section below entitled “Links and Third Party Web Sites” and familiarize yourself with the privacy terms of all non-Bailey House sites. Unless you provide it to us voluntarily, Bailey House does not collect Personally Identifiable Information about you in connection with your use of our site.
Personally Identifiable Information
Visitors to our site may request general information from Bailey House by sending an email to firstname.lastname@example.org or email@example.com, in which case an e-mail or other address may be required in order to allow us to comply with the request, and for other purposes as may be disclosed at the time the request is made.
Visitors may submit an online donation in which case information will be submitted to our third party provider. You should familiarize yourself with the privacy policies of our third party service providers for information on how they use your information. Online donation information may be used to notify you of other information that may be of interest to you.
Individuals interested in volunteering or joining our team may also submit information and/or a resume in which case an e-mail or other address may be required in order to allow us to follow-up with the particular submission.
How We Use the Information Submitted
We will use the Personally Identifiable Information you submit (i) to send you materials that you have requested, (ii) to notify you of other communications that may be of interest to you, (iii) to process donations, (iv) to solicit additional donations, and (iv) as otherwise described in this Policy.
In some cases, such as when you submit donations or ask to volunteer, you may be added to our mailing lists, however, visitors may elect to opt-out of receiving communications other than those relating to a specific query by following the instructions in email and other communications received from us or (b) by calling us at (212) 633-2500 and asking to be removed from our mailing lists. Information removed from our mailing lists will not be retained by Bailey House.
Disclosure of Your Information
Bailey House responds to subpoenas, court orders, and other legal processes. Bailey House may disclose information about its users to law enforcement officers or others when we believe it is necessary in order to protect the rights, privacy, or personal safety of Bailey House clients or the public.
Subject to applicable law, we disclose your Personally Identifiable Information:
- To our affiliated partner organizations described throughout our web site; and
- To other persons as permitted by applicable law or regulation.
Any access to such information will be limited to the purpose for which such information was provided to the affiliate or unaffiliated third parties.
Although we do not sell your Personally Identifiable Information, we occasionally trade mailing list information with other non-profit organizations with similar missions to ours. Information provided to other non-profit organizations will no longer be subject to Bailey House’s Privacy Notice or Legal Notice and will be governed by the policies of the recipient non-profit organization. Bailey House will apply its Privacy Notice and Legal Notice to any information it receives from another non-profit.
Links and Third Party Web Sites
This Policy applies only to http://www.baileyhouse.org and derivatives thereof. This site includes links to both our affiliated sites and to non-affiliated web sites, including access to content, products and services of such affiliated and non-affiliated sites (Other Sites). In some cases, these Other Sites are made available via “framing technology”, and may appear to be part of our site. However, we urge you to familiarize yourself with the individual privacy and other terms for each linked or framed site prior to submitting any Personally Identifiable Information.
How to Request Changes or Opt-Out of Future Communications
If you would like to receive a copy of the Personally Identifiable Information we have about you as submitted to us via our web site, please send a request to firstname.lastname@example.org or Bailey House, 275 Seventh Avenue, 12th Floor, New York, NY 10001, Attention: Development Director. If this information is incorrect or incomplete, please let us know, and we will correct or update it promptly. You may also ask us to remove your name and other personal information from our database, in which case we will make all reasonable efforts to do so subject to legal and other considerations.

Changes to this Policy
We will post any material changes to this Policy at least [thirty (30) days] prior to the changes taking effect. After the changes take effect, all current and new information will be subject to the terms of the revised Policy.
How we Store Your Information
Bailey House maintains physical, electronic, and procedural safeguards to protect your Personally Identifiable Information. Your information is stored in secure operating environments that are not available to the public. All of Bailey House’s personnel and affiliates are dedicated to maintaining and upholding your privacy and security and are made aware of our privacy and security policies.
